NCW organizes a roundtable entitled “Life Skills Enhancement for Entrepreneurs”

Within the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” project implemented by the National Council for Women (NCW) in partnership with the European Union (EU), a round table entitled “Life Skills Enhancement for Entrepreneurs” was organized with a group of experts, in the presence of Ms. May Mahmoud, Director of the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) at NCW, Ms Mona El Gazzar. Director and certified trainer IMAGINE Egypt, Mr Hisham El-Bakry, Chief learning officer at Franklin Covey Egypt and Managing director at Leadership Training & Consultancy, Mr Peter Elias. Business Development Manager at Egyptian Council for Training and Development (ECTD), and Dr. Michael Magdy, Vice Dean for Student Affairs at Luxor University, and Dr. Ahmed Rabie, a food and beverage specialist at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Luxor University, and the project team.
     Ms. May Mahmoud confirmed that the meeting aimed at identifying best practices to come up with comprehensive trainings, and expanding the scope of work and replicating successful experiences to enhance women’s life skills. She also presented the project’s objectives and the positive and economic alternatives to irregular migration, as well as a brief about the awareness component within the project. Additionally, she presented the objectives and desired results of the project, its basic components, its strategic framework, its activities, efforts and various challenges during the past period.
  Ms. Mona El-Gazzar emphasized the importance of continuity and sustainability of training, in addition to women discovering and building their capabilities and capacities, and thus discovering themselves and taking tangible steps towards improving their own lives.
     Mr Al-Bakri presented the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which are taking full responsibility for results, setting priorities and achieving the most important goals, building relationships based on trust and mutual benefit, communicating effectively in all aspects of their lives, including the digital world, and dealing with problems and opportunities to be more creative and collaborative with others, as well as maintain a permanent and constant level of development and learning.
     Mr. Peter Elias also started his speech with a quote "If you educate a woman, you educate the man...and educate the nation" (by ka Gemeny), and then stressed the importance of developing women's skills and its impact on society as a whole. He also highlighted the importance of teamwork, developing social skills, and developing group spirit within one team, in addition to introducing them to the concept of freelancing and more information on the labor market.
    Dr. Michael Magdy pointed out the need for training courses that aim at qualifying workers regarding services characteristics of tourism, and raising and developing tourism awareness among them.
     Ms. Heba Ahmed Mohamed and Ms. Hanan Hassan, two certified trainers, also talked about the need to transform all obstructive beliefs into motivation by taking concrete steps, by seeking to improve income and health and give hope to all women.
    It is worth noting that the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” project aims to promote alternatives to irregular migration through promoting enterprise development and work opportunities for women and youth in Beheira, Gharbia, Luxor and Minya Governorates, in addition to implementing awareness-raising activities to highlight the risks of irregular migration based on the previous efforts.

المجلس القومي للمرأة يواصل فعاليات برنامج ريادة الأعمال بمحافظة الشرقية

في اطار المشروع القومى لتنمية الأسرة المصرية ، وتنفيذا للمبادره الرئاسيه" حياه كريمه " يواصل فرع المجلس القومي للمرأة بمحافظة الشرقية سلسله تدريبات رياده الاعمال لتمكين السيدات اقتصاديا ، وذلك بقرى المحافظة ، خلال الفترة من ٥ وحتى ١٢ ابريل ٢٠٢٢. يذكر أن برنامج ريادة الأعمال يستهدف تدريب ١٣٦ ألف سيدة على إدارة مشروعاتهن ، و يتضمن تعريف السيدات بمبادئ التخطيط ، والتسويق ،والمفاهيم الأساسية لريادة الأعمال كالإبتكار وتقييم الفرص  وإدارة الوقت والمسؤوليات وتحديد الأولويات ، بالإضافة إلى شرح نموذج العمل التجاري وقواعد المحاسبة وخطوات تسجيل وترخيص أى مشروع جديد ، كذلك التعرف على عدد من الجهات التى تقدم خدمات المشروعات الصغيرة والمتناهية الصغر و التى يمكن للسيدات الاستفادة من خدماتها  .
